On 26th September 2019, from 9.30 to 13.30, the closing event of the European Solidarity Corps - Occupational Strand project will be held at the Italian Representation of the European Commission - Spazio Europa Room.

The project, which is part of the initiative of the European Solidarity Corps of the European Commission, was carried out by ANPAL - National Coordination Office EURES, together with a partnership of national and international actors including the Giacomo Brodolini Foundation, Metropolitan City of Rome Capital – Capitale Lavoro, SEPE - EURES Spain, DIAN Greece, VOLUM Romania, Time4society Belgium, Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bulgaria, Italian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, EURES Slovenia, Eurodesk, Unioncamere and the EURES Italy Network.

The closing event aims at sharing the objectives achieved, the challenges faced and the activities carried out. The event represents an opportunity for a wider reflection on labour mobility in Europe and to present the new European Solidarity Corps Programme launched by the European Commission in October 2018.

In the first part of the event, Vito Borrelli (Italian Representation of the European Commission), Salvatore Pirrone (Director General ANPAL), Denis Genton (EC DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, Director Unit D.1), Catia Mastracci (ANPAL - National Coordinator EURES Italy), Domenico De Maio (Director General National Agency for Youth - ERASMUS +) will speak.

During the event the winners of the photo and video contest launched by ANPAL and aimed at young participants who have had their professional experience in Europe thanks to the project will also be awarded.

European Solidarity Corps - Occupational Strand has enabled young people, between 18 and 30, to gain work experience or apprenticeship in the field of solidarity and social work in non-governmental organisations, third sector associations, public administrations, private and private social enterprises.
