Services related to the coordination and provision of support to the EURES network
The project aims at assisting the Commission’s European Coordination Office (ECO) by providing horizontal support to the EURES network, in order to improve the quality and quantity of EURES services.
The purpose is to provide support to the European Commission services, and eventually the new European Labour Authority (ELA), in relation to the work of the EURES network. The latter is tasked with maintaining, developing and supporting the free movement of people of working age within and between the 28 Member States of the European Union and its associated countries.
The EURES network is built on a decentralized approach where the provision of services to end users is carried out at the national and regional/local level by the EURES partners. This project will therefore largely focus on providing support and assistance for the benefit of the national and regional/local members of the network, while ensuring that the overall strategies of the European Union on intra-labour mobility, employment policy and communication are fully taken into account.
The project is organized along two main dimensions:
- Coordination, monitoring and improvement of the performance of the EURES network to support the legal requirements of EURES;
- Provision of advice and support to adapt to the evolving context of the European labour market and the new ELA.
