Project

Unitary evaluation of activities related to poverty reduction and social inclusion implemented by Autonomous Region Friuli Venezia Giulia in the programming periods 2000-2006 and 2007-2013 (Lot 8)

This service carries out a unitary evaluation of results and impacts of regional programmes and interventions co-financed through EU, national or regional funds, and carried out by Friuli Venezia Giulia Region since 2000 in the field of social inclusion and poverty reduction. The overall objective of the evaluation is to provide regional authorities with evidence-based knowledge in order to steer programming decisions for the next programming period.

The service entails the implementation of both desk (national and regional statistics and regional administrative data) and field analysis (through a CATI surveys, focus groups and key informant interviews). The study envisages: i) the provision of a detailed overview of the pervasiveness of relative and absolute poverty in the region, and of its most recent trends, including the simulation of the impact of different policy scenarios on poverty; ii) mapping and analysis of the main anti-poverty interventions implemented by the Region, including a detailed analysis of beneficiaries of the interventions carried out by the Social Service (in particular those financed through the so-called ‘electronic social files’ managed by municipal level authorities and coordinated by the Region).

The results of the study will be disseminated through a number of seminars and the publication of an evaluation report and a synthesis report.
