New research funds for a growing Italian economy

With the funding of the Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini, the Dezernat Zukunft think thank will support research projects in Italy as part of the European Macro Policy Network. FGB will receive funding of 270,250.00 € in 2022 and 2023 and will cooperate with the University Sapienza in Rome in carrying out their projects.

The research will focus on the interaction between macro and structural policies, including an analysis of the Italian National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) as well as public procurement in shaping economic growth and technological upgrading.

“A growing Italian economy is key to the success of Europe. We are very much looking forward to working with Annamaria Simonazzi and Dario Guarascio, who have an extensive track recording in the empirical analysis of the Italian economy, integrating a supply and demand side view”, says Philippa Sigl-Glöckner, Director and CEO of Dezernat Zukunft.

The funds for the European Macro Policy Network were provided by the US-based Open Philanthropy Project, which entrusted Dezernat Zukunft with the task of passing on funding to non-profit organisations in the EU working in the field of macroeconomics.
