PES Network webinar on measuring employability
On the 27th of February FGB hosted, on behalf of the PES Network and the European Commission, a webinar titled “Measuring Employability”. This webinar explored the methods and tools used by PES (Public Employment Services) to measure employability, i.e. the progress made by jobseekers towards integration into the labour market.
The main speaker, Dr. Sally-Anne Barnes, offered an overview of the main approaches to profiling in PES, including the key concept of distance travelled measurement. Then, speakers from the Croatian and French Public Employment Services shared their expertise regarding the use of statistical profiling to support customer integration journeys through activation programmes and the design of algorithms to measure the distance of individuals to the labour market via Artificial Intelligence.
