Green and digital together, SocialTech4EU in Brussels

On 27 and 28 June 2024, Green and digital together, the closing conference of the Social Tech for Europe for Resilient and Responsible Ecosystems (SocialTech4EU) project will be held in Brussels, at the headquarters of the European Economic and Social Committee (rue Van Maerlant, 2). The project is coordinated by Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini in collaboration with Torino Social Impact.

Launched in 2022, the two-year project SocialTech4EU has been co-funded by the European Union under the Joint Cluster Initiatives (Euroclusters) for Europe's recovery, with the aim to enhance the resilience, innovative capacity, competitiveness and sustainability of social economy ecosystems, start-ups and social enterprises, with a focus on social initiatives in the technology sector. Currently, it is the first project in Europe under the macro-area "proximity and social economy."

"Green and digital together will be an opportunity to retrace the programme in its various stages: its goals, results and lessons learned," explains Debora Greco, manager of FGB's Innovation and Urban Regeneration Hubs' Unit, who will be in charge of the conference's opening and closing sessions, and will participate as moderator in several discussion panels.

Moreover, the conference will serve as a forum to discuss the enabling environment needed to foster social innovation, digital and green transition, thanks to the debate among social entrepreneurs, cluster and Eurocluster managers, social economy networks and EU policymakers, and the talks held by members of the European Commission, European Council and Economic Council and researchers.
