Industry 4.0 ten years later, the conference in Modena
Together with Regione Emilia Romagna, Fondazione Claudio Sabattini, Gerpisa and Motorvehicle University of Emilia Romagna, Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini Srl SB is partner of Industry 4.0, ten years later conference that will be held in Modena, 17-19 May 2023, at the Department of Economics “Marco Biagi”, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy.
"Ten years ago the concept of Industry 4.0 emerged in Germany and spread globally", the conference coordinators stated. "Ten years later, Industry 4.0 remains a vision: the fast diffusion of digital technologies in manufacturing and the development of fully interconnected digital factories have not materialised yet".
Digital transformations in manufactoring and work will be at the core of the conference, that aims to bring together different theoretical and empirical contributions with a double perspective: looking back at what has been learned so far and how this has changed the understanding of what Industry 4.0 is, and how it impacts workers and organisations.
The call for the conference's papers is now open. Contributions may analyse different sectors and companies, different stages of the production chain, different regions and countries. Deadline for abstract submission is scheduled on 19 February 2023.
