Rebuilding the relationship between Europe and the UK

Starting from 2023 up to 2025 Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini will lead an ambitious project funded by the Service for Foreign Policy Instruments (FPI) of the European Commission with the aim to build a new relationship between the EU and the UK.

The impact will be for the UK to become a stable and close partner for the EU, and for the EU citizens to live in the UK without threat to the rights and their freedoms.

Last 3 February, the launch event for the new European funding promoted by FPI and the European Delegation on young people and European citizenship in the United Kingdom was held at the Europe House in London. The meeting was held in the presence of the EU Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Pedro Serrano, and the Director Peter M Wagner, head of the European Commission's Service for Foreign Policy Instruments.

Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini participated in the event as project leader with the3million and British Future partners.

"Together we will work to provide a positive framework for the European Union's new relationship with the United Kingdom, changing the perception of the European Union in the country through the framing of shared values, which can form the basis of a new relationship between citizens of the United Kingdom and those of EU member countries" commented Sara Giorgio, expert and researcher of Fondazione Brodolini.
