Terence Hogarth (FGB) Terence Hogarth (FGB) authored  the chapter entitled:  “Aligning school to work: Assessing the impact of employer engagement with schools in assisting young people make the transition from school to work”.  The research on which the chapter is drawn demonstrates the way in which employers are particularly well placed to communicate directly to pupils the skills and attributes they look for from young people when recruiting.  Pupils appear to particularly value the advice and guidance they receive from employers and to act upon that advice and guidance.
