Gender mainstreaming in the Republic of Moldova

Governed by the Results strategy for Sweden´s reform cooperation with Eastern Europe, the Western Balkans and Turkey for the period 2014–2020, Sweden aims to assist the countries in the Eastern Partnership, the Western Balkans and Turkey to forge closer links with the EU.

The global objective of this assignment is to contribute to the efforts of the EU delegation and EU Member States to promote gender equality in its external relations in the Republic of Moldova

In this framework, the specific objective of this assignment is to support the EU Delegation in Moldova and EU Member States  in mainstreaming gender equality in every sector of the joint analysis and the joint programming exercise, as well as to define specific priorities in terms of gender equality. 

In order to meet the objectives, FGB will undertake the following tasks:

• Preparation of the gender mainstreamed Joint Analysis Exercise;

• Provide recommendations on integration of gender equality for the next phase of the Joint Programming exercise (subject to additional decision on the contract’s extension).
