LLM-Bridge Venture Incubation Programme: ethical AI in Europe

LLM-Bridge is a European project co-funded by the Digital Europe Programme, with the aim of strengthening the European AI ecosystem and promoting the development of trustworthy, ethical and multilingual technologies in Europe.

More specifically, the project was established to bridge research and innovation with market deployment, combining technical excellence with entrepreneurial capacity-building through three programmes supporting startup incubation, acceleration and entrepreneurial education: Venture Incubation Programme (VIP), Acceleration Programme, Entrepreneurial Education Programme.

The incubation programme is intended for startups developing solutions based on Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI). Funded through the Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP) mechanism under LLM-BRIDGE, the programme aims to support 29 European startups operating in these fields through a 12-week incubation pathway combining specialised training, mentoring, pitch coaching, networking opportunities with investors across Europe, and access to European High-Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure.

Throughout the programme, startups will receive support with product development and business model validation, with a view to laying the foundations for subsequent acceleration and investment pathways, while promoting compliance with the AI Act and European principles of responsible artificial intelligence.

The programme will conclude with a Demo Day, which will serve as a gateway for the selected startups to the subsequent acceleration phase.

Following its selection through the LLM-BRIDGE Open Call for Incubator, Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini (FGB) is responsible for designing and implementing the entire incubation programme in all its phases. FGB will also organise three in-person events (Bootcamp, GTM Meetup, Demo Day).
