The European Parliament seeks independent expert advice on a variety of current and emerging issues connected to its work. Through the multiple framework service contracts, expertise shall be provided in the form of briefings and studies, delivered upon ad hoc requests within a limited and defined time frame. In addition to written advice, the framework service contract would also cover associated services such as attendance at Committee meetings and presentations by lead experts, or the organization of workshops as appropriate.
The framework service contract is intended to support the work of the Employment and Social Affairs Committee (EMPL) in the European Parliament by enabling it to order studies, briefings as well as workshops in the areas of competence of the EMPL Committee.
Lot 1 covers expertise including notably:
• all aspects of employment policy;
• working conditions, labour law and new forms of employment;
• vocational training policy and professional qualifications;
• questions relating to the European Social Fund;
• workers' mobility and immigration.
Services:
• preparation of Briefing Notes, Studies and Ad hoc reports;
• conducting interviews to relevant stakeholders;
• presentation of the findings at the EMPL Committee workshops.
