Severe labour exploitation – foreign workers’ perspectives (SELEX II)
The objective of the project is to provide EU institutions and Member States with evidence-based assistance and expertise relating to fundamental rights when they take measures or formulate courses of action to combat severe labour exploitation and to make foreign workers’ rights to have access to justice a reality. Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini collects information in Italy on the experiences of foreign workers (both EU and non EU, and including applicants for international protection) whose situation of severe labour exploitation has come to the attention of a third party.
Fondazione Brodolini interviews - through focus groups and semi-structured face-to-face interviews - both EU and third country national workers in certain categories of ‘migration status’ (e.g. posted workers; seasonal workers; domestic workers or those tied by a visa to their employer; migrants in an irregular situation, and applicants for international protection) concerning their experiences.
