Courmayeur, regeneration of small historic villages with RRP
Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini (FGB) provides technical assistance to the Municipality of Courmayeur in managing and coordinating a cultural and social regeneration project for the historic village. The project is funded by the European Union NextGenerationEU under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan Mission 1 Component 3 I74H22000050005.
The programme aims to introduce new opportunities for sustainable and conscious tourism in the area, decoupled from seasonal trends. It also seeks to promote participatory processes and active citizenship through a network of stakeholders, fostering both social inclusion and quality of life.
Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini (FGB) proposes an integrated system of interventions focused on adaptation to climate change in the mountains, with a specific attention to the development of a sustainable model. By recovering and enhancing the area's cultural and environmental heritage and by triggering a process of social cohesion starting from the local community, the aim is to achieve a balance in the relationship between inhabitants, tourists, and the environment.
