Impact 2026. Sustainable and inclusive Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games
Partners: Yunus Sports Hub,
Impact 2026 is a social procurement programme designed to make the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games more inclusive and sustainable.
By involving social enterprises, micro-businesses and SMEs, the project promotes local economic development and aims to create a lasting legacy in the territories involved. It functions as a showcase for social and environmental innovation, a social economy accelerator, and a catalyst for new cross-sector approaches to working.
The project aims to achieve the following objectives:
- facilitate access for SMEs, micro-enterprises and social businesses to economic opportunities related to the Games.
- Promote responsible, ethical, and sustainable business practices among suppliers.
- Support companies in meeting procurement requirements from Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 and its partners.
- Support the social integration of individuals from disadvantaged groups (such as NEETs, migrants, people with disabilities, former inmates).
- Build a lasting impact on the local area beyond the Olympic event through upskilling participating SMEs and creating new business networks.
As the project's operational partner in Italy, Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini is responsible for implementing the programme, offering local and operational support, capacity building, business acceleration and network creation between public, private and social actors.
