26 October 2021. Towards a fair platform work? Challenges, EU policies and proposals

On 26 October 2021 (h 14.00 – 15.20 CEST), Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini will explore the different facets of platform work via a discussion between researchers, unionists and policymakers.

The event will involve: Annamaria Simonazzi and Michele Faioli (Fondazione Brodolini e CNEL), Irene Mandl (European Labour Authority), Annarosa Pesole (expert and main author of the COLLEEM study), Ludovic Voet (ETUC), Brando Benifei (Member of the European Parliament – Progressive Alliance of Socialists & Democrats)

The event launches the activities of the Don’t GIG up, never! Project, co-funded by the European Union and inheriting the previous Don’t GIG up! project, ended in January 2020.

Starting from analysis and recommendations of the previous project, Don’t GIG Up, never! aims to investigate business models and working conditions in platforms concerning micro-tasks, ‘creative’ work and services to persons with the goal of shedding a light on the related opportunities and criticalities and to propose political solutions.
