Call for “Cantieri”: Modena Open Lab between artistic creation and new technologies

The Modena Open Lab puts itself on the line joining as a partner the project “Cantieri”, which will take place during the Trasparenze Festival organized by Teatro dei Venti.

The project aims to promote juvenile creativity through creative workshops addressing young artistic realities, which will take place at ex centrale AEM (Modena Open Lab).

The selected companies will have to develop a specific topic, that this year will be related to the interaction between artistic creation and new technologies. The theatrical productions generated from the process will be displayed to the public.

The juvenile creativity will also be found in the selection process, which will be made by the Konsulta, a group of young audience (under 25), who from 2012 act on the preparatory process of the Festival.

The call addresses theatrical (but also dancing, artistic…) companies, who develop their projects with the help of new technologies. The final goal is to give a demonstration of their working method and to think about the communication languages they use.

Cantieri will offer a theatrical residence, where they will focus on the creative process. The companies will have to develop a specific topic in 4 days, using a dedicated equipment. The result of this study will be then exposed to the public during the Trasparenze Festival, on May the 5th 2019.
In order to answer the call, the companies will have to send to comunicazione@trasparenzefestival.it their biography, some of their past work and a short video (5 minutes long) where they describe their creative process. The submission have to be sent no later than February the 20th 2019.
