INTERNATIONAL CALL FOR SOLUTIONS

Libere: innovative technologies for the prevention and eradication of violence against women

Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini and Cultura Lavoro are pleased to launch the 2019 International Call for Solutions on innovative technologies for the prevention and eradication of violence against women.

The Call is open to: innovators, start-uppers, entrepreneurs, NGOs and associations.

The Call is realized with the contribution of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers - Department for equal opportunities in the framework of the project “Libere: innovative technologies for the prevention and eradication of violence against women”.

We are looking for new technologies, products or prototypes developed with a gender-empowerment approach and aimed at preventing and combating violence against women through the promotion of positive behaviours and social innovation.

The innovative technologies with a social impact must be designed to modify certain behaviours:

  • the isolation of women victims of violence by activating listening and assisting opportunities,
  • strengthening women's autonomy and reaction capacity by providing them with useful tools in case of violence.

The participation to the Call is free and the winner will be awarded 3.000,00 € (three thousand euros).

Furthermore, the top 10 ranked technologies will be displayed in a traveling exhibition (so called “Caravan”) in Milan and Modena and presented to university and high school students, teachers, parents, local administrators and civil society. The exhibition of innovations will be accompanied by a series of activities, seminars and workshops to raise awareness among participants and to work together to build a world free from gender-based violence.

Submit your technological solution, product or prototype for review by a team of experts in gender issues, innovation and technology.

The deadline for the submission is on11th of April 2019, hurry up!
