Open Innovation in Agrifood, innovation goes global
Following the experience of Social Roots, Fondazione Brodolini worked for the creation of a more ambitious programme, called “Open Innovation in Agrifood Programme”, that aims to match demand and supply of innovation in the agrifood sector by engaging a global international community of innovators on specific Call for Solutions, launched periodically around emerging needs and trends in the agrifood sector. The new Call for Solutions for ideas and project of open innovation in the agrifood has been launched on the 28th of April and will be open until the 30th of June. The Call is targeted at people, entrepreneurs, NGOs, cooperatives, and businesses with ideas or projects for new products, services, business models and technologies aimed at promoting economic, environmental and social sustainability in the agrifood industry, in three specific domain : Sustainable food supply chains; Food security and equal access to resources and Shared value across food networks. The best 10 ideas or projects will be selected and invited to attend for free the Global Innovation Camp 2016 that will be held in Turin, Italy on September 2016.
The Global Innovation Camp will be a full week event with workshops, seminars and activities that will help participants to focus on the national and international context of innovation in the agrifood sector, gaining key insights into potential target markets; develop and refine the idea or project with the support of experts and other stakeholders; meet with potential business and technology partners; get ready to present their initiatives to potential investors and established businesses. From the attendants to the Innovation Camp, the Scientific Committee will select up to 3 ideas that will have access to an acceleration or incubation process for the duration of 3 months in selected partners’ organisations.
Fondazione Brodolini is supported by a network of co-promoters from all parts of the world such as OpenIncet (Italy), leadtochange (Spain, Chile, USA), Ākina Foundation (New Zeland); Shenzhen Open Innovation Lab (China) e UIP, University incubator of Primorska (Slovenia). Moreover the programme is supported by a growing network of partners.
