Understanding the evolution of the European Skills Systems Performance
The European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop) has published the policy brief Evolution of European Skills Systems Performance 2015 to 2022. Based on work led by FGB to update the European Skills Index, the document is now available online on Cedefop's website, along with the 2024 European Skills Index.
"FGB's contribution was part of the broader skills intelligence services provided to Cedefop and informed the development of the policy brief. We are proud to have taken part in this important research" says Liga Baltina, who coordinated the project for Fondazione Brodolini.
Cedefop's assignment included an update of the index and a comprehensive analysis of performance changes in European skills systems from 2015 to 2022, with a detailed examination of convergence patterns and key drivers of change.
The policy brief explores both internal components and external factors influencing the evolution of skills systems, focusing on European Skills Index scores and rankings.
