On 25th January 2019 in Padova, Italy the final intyernational workshop of WeGovNow project the Towards WeGovernment: Collective and participative approaches for addressing local policy challenges.

The workshop describes results and lessons learned during 3 years of WeGovNow, a research and innovation action project funded under the Horizon 2020 programme. The project consortium, composed of 12 partners, also includes FGB.

WeGovNow has been developed and validated a digital platform for effectively involving citizens in decision making processes and empowers citizens as active local actors of and for their community as well as partners rather than customers in the delivery of public services, with the aim to improve effectiveness and efficiency of public administrations and reduce the administrative burden of citizens.

Based on the insights of the WeGovNow project, the event aims at stimulating a discussion with the audience about how and under what circumstances WeGoNow can help addressing new cultural and societal challenges in public policies, transforming public administrations processes, improving effectiveness and efficiency of public administrations and reducing the administrative burden of citizens.
