Women refugees and asylum seekers in the EU
At the European Parliament an inter-parliamentary meeting promoted by FEMM Committee
On the occasion of IWD, the FEMM Committee organised an inter-parliamentary meeting dealing with "Women refugees and asylum seekers in the EU". The meeting brought together MEPs, representatives of national parliaments of the member states, candidate countries and Norway, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) and the European Commission. President Martin Schulz, Ms Mary Robinson and Ms Nawal Soufi opened the event. Silvia Sansonetti from FGB participated to the event leading one of the workshops
