On 14 July 2021, FGB had the pleasure of hosting Elisa Ferreira, European Commissioner for Cohesion Policy and Reform in a discussion on the future of Europe.
Commissioner Ferreira was joined by Fabrizio Barca, Coordinator of the Inequalities and Diversity Forum and former Italian minister for territorial cohesion, Raffaele Paciello, Head of the Public Policy Communication Unit at FGB, and Roberta Carlini, journalist, in this discussion on the role that EU structural funds will play in the coming years.
Broadcast live from Palazzo Merulana in Rome, the debate reached almost 150 thousand people online, in addition to the managing authorities of the regional and national operational programmes of European cohesion policy, and the audience who followed the meeting in person.
This event was part of the 'Europa, Italia' special issue edited by FGB in partnership with Gedi Group and the Italian newspaper la Repubblica, and financed by the European Commission to promote the projects supported in Italy by the cohesion policy.
The debate was lauded by the FGB team that curated Europa, Italia as a “great opportunity to address key issues at European level and exchange views on the future of Europe. A heartfelt thanks goes to the experts who spoke and to all people who made this event possible".
