Privacy Notice on the Processing of Personal Data

This privacy notice on the processing of personal data is provided, pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereinafter the "Regulation"), by Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini ETS, with registered office at Via Goito 39, Rome (hereinafter "FGB", "Foundation" or "Controller"), in its capacity as Data Controller.

This notice is provided in the context of your request to subscribe to our newsletter service ("Service").

In this notice, we will explain the purposes and methods by which FGB collects and processes your personal data, the categories of data processed, the rights of data subjects, and how such rights can be exercised.

  • Categories of Personal Data

FGB will process your personal data necessary to provide the Service. In particular, FGB will collect the following types of personal data:

  • contact data (email address);

hereinafter, the "Data".

Please note that without such Data, it will not be possible to provide the Service.

  • Purpose and Legal Basis of the Processing

Your personal Data will be processed by FGB for the provision of the Service, pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) of the Regulation.

3.     Categories of recipients to whom Personal Data may be disclosed and purpose of disclosure

The list of data processors can be requested at privacy@fondazionebrodolini.eu.

Your data will not be disclosed to unspecified recipients.

4.    Transfer of Personal Data outside the European Union

Your Personal Data may also be transferred outside the European Union by service providers used by FGB for activities related to the newsletter. Where applicable, such transfer will be governed through standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission under Decision 2021/914/EU, as amended, or alternatively based on an adequacy decision of the Commission, binding corporate rules, and/or any other mechanism permitted under applicable law. You may obtain information about the location where your Personal Data has been transferred and a copy of such Data by writing to privacy@fondazionebrodolini.eu.

5.     Duration of processing and data retention period

Your Personal Data will be processed by FGB for the time strictly necessary to provide the newsletter Service and, in any case, for the entire duration of the Service activation. Upon termination of the Service, the data will be deleted or anonymized, unless further retention is required to comply with legal obligations or to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.

6. Data Subjects' Rights

Please note that, in accordance with applicable law, you have the following rights:

  • to request and obtain information regarding the existence of your Personal Data held by FGB and the processing carried out, as well as access to such Data;
  • to request and obtain the receipt of your Personal Data provided to the Foundation in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and to request the transfer of such Data to another controller;
  • to request and obtain the rectification and/or updating of your Personal Data if you believe it is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • to request and obtain the deletion and/or restriction of processing of your Personal Data where such data is not necessary, or no longer necessary, for the purposes indicated above, once the retention period has expired.

Finally, please note that, pursuant to applicable law, you may lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority regarding the processing of your Personal Data.
