The members of consortium, using their network of country experts, are providing a comprehensive coverage of European Member States and other countries member of Cedefop concerning their national and regional systems of apprenticeships for adults (defined as: learning opportunities that alternates between a workplace and an educational or training institution; with part of formal education and part of training; and with learners acquire a qualification and receive an officially recognised certificate on successful completion). Within the project timeframe, current apprenticeships for adults are analysed and other programmes qualifying for being considered apprenticeships scheme targeting population over 25 years old. The analysis takes into account the regulatory framework for the countries, their funding, their incentives structure, and the advantages for both the learners and the companies. Moreover, a critical assessment of the schemes is requested, pinpointing potential weaknesses and improvement areas.
