The purpose of the project is to provide cooperation between CSO’s in Turkey and the European Union and to strengthen their management capacity by increasing bilateral exchanges in the field of elderly people.  Activities within the scope of the project contribute to the operational and learning capacity of the Turkish CSOs with the need to increase the compatibility in policymaking between Turkey and the EU. This action takes its roots from the Strategic Implementation Plan for the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing and the Council Declaration on the European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations (2012): the Way Forward. Two possible outcomes are predicted during the action: first, the CSO’s of both countries reach a consensus or a detailed road map for the future collaborations in line with the European Union’s agenda; in addition, Turkish CSO’s develop active partnership with each other and with policy makers to influence the policy making in their country.
