EUPACK Project – European Public Administration Country knowledge
The aim of the project “Support for developing better country knowledge on public administration and institutional capacity building” (European Public Administration Country Knowledge –EUPACK) is to enhance the knowledge and understanding of the status and reform dynamics of public administration in EU Member States, as well as the contribution of external support for improving its quality, with a view to better targeting EU support in this area in the future.
In the context of the study, FGB prepared a country report on how EU policy interacts and supports national policies and priorities in Italy with a view to improve the understanding of the national dimension of Public Administration reforms and its coherence with the European dimension. Desk research entailed a mapping of actions funded by structural funds and aimed at strengthening Institutional Capacity -- covering the 2007-2013 and 2014-2020 programming period. Field analysis entailed the carrying out of several interviews.
In addition to this FGB also drafted the intervention logic of the EU support to strengthening institutional capacity in Europe.
Activities:
- Developing an Intervention logic for Semi-structured interviews with stakeholders
- Qualitative analysis of documents, report, laws
- Quantitative analysis of interventions, projects and results
