Female migration flows in Europe
Period
-
This project analysed the phenomenon of feminine migration in Italy, Portugal, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Latvia and Poland. It identified the specificities of each country involved, compared the differences, and evaluated the patterns of convergence for the policies envisaged by the EU countries. The research focused on the role of institutional actors in the countries of origin with respect to education and training policies, interventions in terms of social policies in support of these families 'affected by migration projects', the attitude towards 'final' or 'transit' migration flows, and finally the effect of policies to support integration in the various host countries.
