The aim of the project was to define a methodology to evaluate the implementation of the European Employment Strategy (EES) in Bulgaria from a gender perspective. In spite of several training activities and measures developed in order to favour women's participation in politics and in the labour market, Bulgaria needed to make important steps forward to investigate the gender gap in the labour market and to encourage women and men to participate in it in order to fully contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.
