The study analyses the response of four States to the growing needs of the housing care, starting from the reforms implemented in the last 10 years, mainly concerning the introduction of the quasi-markets; it also retraces and compares the current existing forms of care regimes. Four aspects are analysed:
- Plural economy
- Gender contract
- The logics lying behind the public governance of care
- Analysis of the debate, at public policy level, on the performance (quantity, quality) of the care regimes
