PonTeatro is a project aimed at digitising the Italian theatre sector by creating an interactive metaverse. It has been designed to address emerging cultural challenges in both the Italian and international contexts through an innovative and engaging platform that merges tradition with technology.

The PonTeatro platform will offer a wide range of content and functionalities for users, including:

  • the MetaTheatre: a virtual environment where audience members can explore the theatre space using their own avatars, access real-time information, and interact with a virtual AI-based guide via various devices;

  • in-person-style immersive events: performances hosted in 360° virtual rooms, allowing users to select different viewing perspectives and replay past shows;

  • exhibitions: a shared digital space where theatres can display digitised assets such as costumes, posters, and stage garments. These items will be linked to Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), enabling sales and purchases within the virtual environment.

Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini contributes to the platform’s design and supports its validation through data analysis and testing operations.
