Projet Communautaire de Formation de formateurs en Management de la Qualité -UEMOA
The West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) was created by the Treaty signed in Dakar January 10, 1994 by the Heads of State and Government of the seven countries of West Africa having a common currency. The increasing involvement of Member States of the UEMOA in world trade is one of the best ways to fight against poverty. This participation to trade, through the development of exports, however, is subject to the achievement of a strong and sustainable economic growth, and consequently, the ability of UEMOA companies to offer products and services that meet international standards in terms of quality.
The focus of the project is to train experts (Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast) in Quality Management that will be inserted in the national teaching systems to develop quality culture in the UEMOA region. To train quality management specialists means training project managers who will be able to extend the concept of quality in environmental, health and safety management.
The project results are as follow:
- Quality Management training course are designed, and three manuals are made.
- 30 trainers are trained using the methodology "Training of Trainers"
- An awareness campaign is implemented at regional level.
