Partners: Minerva Lab – Laboratory on Diversity and Gender Inequalities, Sapienza University of Rome
The project Voce e sguardo. Economiste italiane oggi – In ricordo di Vera Cao Pinna
Financed by the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers – Mission Unit for Anniversaries of National Interest, under the public call for initiatives connected to the celebration of anniversaries of national interest, the initiative connects Cao Pinna's legacy with the contribution of contemporary Italian women economists through a national conference at Sapienza University of Rome, preparatory webinars, intergenerational workshops, editorial and multimedia content, a communication campaign, and a digital archive of the project materials.
The project specifically aims to:
- highlight women's contribution to the history of economics in Italy, starting from the figure of Vera Cao Pinna;
- involve students, PhD candidates and young researchers in discussion, co-design and participation activities;
- organise a national conference that gives visibility to women economists' contribution to economic thought, past and present;
- produce cultural, scientific and dissemination resources that remain accessible over time.
Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini ETS is the project proposer, beneficiary and implementing organisation, and is responsible for the project's overall coordination, administrative and financial management, organisational secretariat, communication through its own channels and those of the web magazine inGenere.it, as well as fpr monitoring, reporting and public dissemination of results.
