Fondazione Brodolini delivered to the European Parliament, the study ‘Women and Unpaid Family Care Work in the EU’ (2009). This study provides an analysis of the size and value of unpaid family care work at the EU level.

The research is based on harmonized surveys and proposes a comparative analysis of the time use as well as of child and elderly care work in Italy and Poland. The results outlined in the study led to the improvement of the existing indicators enabling a reliable quantitative forecast of unpaid care work in the European Union.
