Open call for researchers and experts - Policy Evaluation & Human Capital

Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini (FGB) is seeking new researchers and experts to join its Policy Evaluation & Human Capital team, either on an ad hoc basis or through longer-term employment or consultancy arrangements.

Position: We are looking to establish a network of professional experts to support FGB in the implementation of ongoing and future projects/contracts, contribute to proposal writing, and collaborate on the identification of new business development opportunities.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates with the following profile:

- a degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Economics, Political Science, Education Sciences, Public Policy or other related fields); postgraduate qualifications will be considered an asset;

- at least 5-7 years' professional experience in a research organisation, EU institution or consultancy working on EU-level research and consultancy projects, covering at least three of the following thematic areas:

  • labour market and employment policies;
  • skills policies;
  • vocational education and training (VET);
  • lifelong learning policies;
  • VET qualifications and credentials;
  • curricula development and learning outcomes;
  • developing sectoral skills strategies;
  • digital skills;
  • green skills;
  • social inclusion;
  • innovation and entrepreneurship;
  • innovation and research;
  • capacity building.

In addition, candidates should have:

- strong practical knowledge of the of the EU-policy context in the relevant fields, including latest developments, underlying trends and drivers, institutional set-up;

- experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative research, using different data collection and analysis methodologies, as demonstrated by previous research projects;

- experience in drafting reports and articles, supported by relevant publications and reports;

- proficiency in spoken and written English is essential; knowledge of other languages is an advantage;

- strong presentation and communication skills, with experience in presenting research results to different audiences.

With offices in Rome, Milan and Brussels, FGB provides research and evaluation expertise and technical assistance to EU and national institutions and other public sector clients.
