Skills and innovation in the European defence sector

The 4-year project Alliance for strategic skills addressing emerging technologies in defence (Assets+) is now coming to its conclusion, which will be marked by the conference European defence sector: navigating the future through skills and innovation, organised by Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini in collaboration with the Center for defence, space and security in Denmark. The event is set to take place on November 28th, 2023, from 09.00 am to 06.00 pm at La Chaufferie in Brussels, Belgium.

The project sees the University of Pisa as lead partner and is funded within the Erasmus+ programme; by addressing emerging technologies, it aims to build a sustainable human-resources supply chain for the European defence industry.

The conference will be moderated by Michel Bosco, Associate Professor at the IAE Nice Graduate school of management at Université Côte d’Azur and Board member of the European cybersecurity organisation, and Līga Baltiņa, Head of the Labour market and skills research unit at Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini and member of the coordination team of the project.

By attending the conference, participants will be able to delve into the current and future landscape of skills and innovation in the European defence sector, thanks to insights from industry leaders and policy-makers, engagement in thought-provoking discussions as well as networking opportunities with peers and experts.

Registrations to the conference are now closed; it is possible to join the waiting list by sending an email to communication@assets-plus.eu.
