SkillsPULSE hybrid research seminar on skills signals

As part of the activities within the project SkillsPULSE: Skills – Predicting, Understanding, and Locating Shortages in Europe, led by Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini, the hybrid research seminar Skills signals: leveraging online job vacancies and big data to identify skills shortages and gaps will take place on Wednesday, 4 June 2025, from 2.00 to 5.00 PM. Participants will be able to join the event either online or in person, at the Faculty of Economics and Sociology, University of Łódź (Poland).

The seminar will explore how online job vacancy data and other big data sources can be used to detect skill shortages and mismatches in the labour market.

It will also provide an opportunity to gather feedback from Polish stakeholders on the methodologies and findings presented by SkillsPULSE and three other Horizon projects (SkiLMeeT, SKILLAB, and TRAILS), fostering dialogue on how these innovative approaches align with national practices and support more responsive skills policies across Europe.

In addition, the next SkillsPULSE partnership meeting will be held in Łódź on 3 and 4 June 2025, bringing together project partners to discuss progress, next steps, and strategic developments.

Participation in the hybrid research seminar is free, upon previous online registration.
