Upskilling pathways, key findings from France
The research paper Thematic country review on upskilling pathways for low-skilled adults in France - Key findings of the second and third research phases and suggestions for future action is now available on the website of the European Centre for the Development of Vocation Training (Cedefop). The research was carried out by a consortium comprising the Centre d'études et de recherches sur les qualifications (CEREQ) and led by Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini, as part of the service contract with Cedefop; it focused on supporting member states in developing systematic approaches to upskilling low-skilled adults.
The report provides an in-depth review of France's national approach, identifying strengths, challenges, and potential strategies for policy improvement.
Moreover, the publication highlights key areas for action, including improving outreach to low-skilled adults, strengthening stakeholder coordination, and enhancing financial and non-financial support systems, thus contributing to cross-country learning and informing future efforts to implement effective upskilling pathways across the EU.
