Strengthening Europe's skills partnerships with Assets+

As a member of the European Commission's Pact for Skills Aerospace and Defence Industrial Ecosystem and a former member of the consortium of the project Alliance for strategic skills addressing emerging technologies in defence (ASSETs+), on 23 October 2025 Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini will take part in the Pact for Skills Networking Event, organised by the EU Commission to foster collaboration and exchange among Pact members.

As one of the key actions of the European Skills Agenda, the Pact for Skills aims to support public and private organisations with upskilling and reskilling processes, enabling them to respond effectively to the needs of the green and digital transitions.

Members of the Pact – including national, regional and local authorities, companies, and education and training providers – benefit from access to knowledge on upskilling and reskilling needs, advice on relevant funding instruments to boost adult skills across Europe, and partnership opportunities within a growing community of practice.

The Pact for Skills Networking Event will take place online from 10.00 Am to 3.00 PM (CEST). It will offer members the opportunity to deepen their engagement with the initiative, explore practical resources and good practices, and connect with peers and representatives from the European Commission addressing similar challenges, thus fostering cross-ecosystem collaboration and advancing Europe's collective efforts in upskilling and reskilling.

Liga Baltina, Head of FGB's Labour Market & Skills Research Unit and former member of the coordination team of the ASSETs+ project, will represent Fondazione Brodolini at the event. Baltina will showcase the ASSETs+ project on skills in defence, presenting its innovative approach to building skills intelligence and outlining the follow-up actions undertaken after its completion.

"FGB continues to contribute to strengthening Europe's skills partnerships, and advancing intelligence-based approaches to upskilling and reskilling across strategic sectors" she commented.
