AutoCredify workshops on micro-credentials in the automotive sector

As coordinator of the project Accelerating automotive green and digital skills with micro-credentials (AutoCredify), Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini is leading the organisation of the AutoCredify Peer Learning Webinar Series. The series features three free online workshops, taking place on 14, 15 and 27 April 2026, bringing together experts from across Europe and beyond to explore the role of micro-credentials in education, training and skills development in the automotive sector.

The workshops are addressed to practitioners, policymakers, education and training providers, social partners, employers, and all stakeholders interested in understanding how micro-credentials can be designed, implemented and applied in practice.

Drawing on the mapping activities and case studies developed within the AutoCredify project, and also bringing in additional experiences and policy perspectives from key EU actors, the events are designed to build shared awareness and practical understanding on what micro-credentials can drive green and digital skills in the automotive sector.

The first workshop will take place on 14 April 2026 from 10:00 to 12:30 (CET). Titled Micro-credentials in the automotive Sector: quality assurance, assessment and trust, it will focus on credibility and trust in micro-credentials, covering EU policy, assessment design, quality assurance frameworks, and case studies from Finland and Dublin City University's MicroCreds initiative.

The second workshop, scheduled for 15 April 2026 from 10:00 to 12:30 (CET), will explore micro-credentials and the automotive skills ecosystem. It will address labour market value, employer recognition, big data insights on future skills, and accreditation in Navarra. The session will also feature Jakub Stolfa, President of Automotive Skills Alliance (ASA), who will present the ASA Skills Hub digital badge.

The final workshop, Building Micro-Credentials Ecosystems: Governance, Sustainability and Scaling, will take place on 27 April from 15:00 to 17:30 (CET). It will explore governance and funding models, SME perspectives, national approaches from Portugal, and insights from the US Credential As You Go initiative.
