Partners: APS Giraffa, Associazione Centro Donna Lilith APS, Centro antiviolenza Ipazia, Dipartimento di scienze statistiche – Sapienza Università di Roma, Eva Cooperativa Sociale, Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini ETS, Sociolab Società Cooperativa – Impresa Sociale, Sud Est Donne
The project aims to define and implement a digital transformation strategy for 64 anti-violence centres and shelters providing support, protection and assistance services to women experiencing violence across the regions of Lazio, Campania, Puglia, Sicily and Tuscany.
Financed by Fondo per la Repubblica Digitale - Impresa Sociale, the initiative seeks to strengthen the organisational capacity and impact of the organisations involved in preventing and contrasting violence against women and girls through the adoption of innovative digital tools, skills and processes.
The project directly involves 300 professionals working in anti-violence centres and approximately 3,500 women supported by the services provided by the project partnership. It also benefits from the scientific and technical contribution of the Department of Statistical Sciences at Sapienza University of Rome, Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini and Sociolab Social Cooperative, which support the design, implementation and evaluation of the project activities.
The project's specific objectives are to:
- improve the operational efficiency of anti-violence centres through the digitalisation and automation of intake and support processes, as well as through more effective systems for data collection, management, analysis and processing;
- strengthen the relational, methodological and operational skills of professionals and activists, enhancing their capacity for digital activism, public awareness-raising and communication with younger generations;
- develop the technical, cultural and operational competences needed to prevent and address technology-facilitated gender-based violence, improving the response capacity of professionals working in women’s support services.
Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini is responsible for the design and delivery of training pathways aimed at developing transversal skills for effective communication in support of gender equality, with a particular focus on social media, digital communication and graphic design tools for social change.
In particular, FGB delivers training courses, hands-on workshops and game-based learning activities for professionals and volunteers working in the anti-violence centres managed by the partner organisations.
The activities are designed on the basis of the needs identified during the initial phase of the project and aim to strengthen participants' communication, relational and digital skills, enhancing their capacity for awareness-raising, advocacy and community engagement through innovative tools and languages.
