Reinforcing skills intelligence with ETF Skills Lab Network
For the period 2025-2026, Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini will be responsible for managing and animating the European Training Foundation's (ETF) Skills Lab Network of Experts, thus reaffirming its pivotal role in strengthening skills intelligence, knowledge sharing, and collaboration across 433 members from EU and partner countries.
Established in 2021 to foster knowledge creation within the research community on skills demand, the ETF Skills Lab Network of Experts was already supported by FGB's Policy Evaluation & Human Capital Area during its first years of activities.
The ultimate goal of this project is to advise and support the network's governance, management and implementation by developing an effective communication strategy and facilitating engagement, at both regional and national levels, through various activities and initiatives – such as knowledge sharing events, capacity building activities and calls for research proposals.
So far, the Network has played a key role in shaping policy discussions on skills development, focusing on green and digital transitions, gender-inclusive labour markets, and vocational education.
"With this new assignment, FGB will enhance the network’s management, peer learning activities, and research collaboration to help members tackle the evolving demands of the labour market" explains Chiara Fratalia, Manager at FGB's Policy Evaluation & Human Capital Area and Delivery Coordinator of the project.
This next phase was officially launched with a kick-off meeting on 12 February 2025. Building on the network's achievements, it incorporates a strengthened social media presence, enhanced networking opportunities, and a sub-thematic community on skills and migration.
