SkillsPULSE research seminar on open job vacancy analysis
As part of the project SkillsPULSE: Skills – Predicting, Understanding, and Locating Shortages in Europe, coordinated by Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini, an online joint research seminar on open job vacancy analysis will take place on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, from 10.00 to 12.30 CEST.
Launched in 2024, SkillsPULSE is a three-year Horizon Europe-funded project aimed at improving the understanding of skills shortages and mismatches across Europe through the development of new data sources and indicators.
The seminar will bring together researchers and experts from leading Horizon-funded initiatives working on skills gaps and shortages. Discussions will address methodological and data-related challenges in the analysis of online job vacancies, as well as the role of web-based labour market intelligence in supporting skills policy development.
The event will open and close with remarks by Liga Baltina, Head of FGB's Labour Market & Skills Research Unit, who coordinates the SkillsPULSE project on behalf of Fondazione Brodolini.
The programme will feature contributions from researchers involved in the SkillsPULSE and SkiLMeeT projects, alongside keynote presentations from European institutions, including those by Fernando Reis, Big data statistician at the European Commission, and Joanna Napierala, Expert in Skills intelligence and foresight at the European centre for the development of vocational training (Cedefop).
Participation in the seminar is free upon previous online registration
