EaSI National Contact Point in Italy
Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini is the Italian National Contact Point (INCP) for the European Commission's employment and social innovation programme (EaSI). The activity is carried out through Open Incet, the Open Innovation center in the city of Turin which FGB has been managing since 2015.
EaSI is a financial instrument to promote high-quality and sustainable employment, ensure adequate and decent social protection, contrast marginalisation and poverty, and improve working conditions in Europe.
For the period 2021-2027, the program will become a strand under the European Social Fund plus (ESF+), the European Union's main instrument for investing in people and promoting structural reforms in employment, social, education and skills.
The Italian National Contact Point is the Italian reference point for receiving information and preparing for the opportunities offered by EaSI.
In particular, the center organises initiatives to promote participation in the programme, especially by sharing news and providing training on how to submit applications and manage projects.
In addition, the INCP supports participation in EaSI calls for proposals, informing stakeholders about the opportunities offered by the programme and best practices available in Italy and the EU.
Finally, it is involved in disseminating EaSI projects' activities and results at local, national and European levels, fostering partnerships and exchange of knowledge.
As manager of the Italian National Contact Point, Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini is responsible for managing the HelpDesk based at Open Incet and the website, to promote calls and informative sessions; organising training and networking events for stakeholders, online and in-person, at Open Incet; create a catalogue of best practices to disseminate the results of EaSI projects; host exponents from other NCPs and participate in study visits to NCPs abroad, with the aim of fostering exchange and training among European innovation ecosystems and support for EaSI programs.
