Cooperation in civil society, Common Ground in Brussels

On Wednesday, 26 June 2024, from 2.00 to 6.00 PM, the networking event Future cooperation among EU/UK Citizens: what civil society can do will take place in Bruxelles (Sparks Meeting, rue Ravenstein 60), as part of the Common Ground project, coordinated by Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini.

The3million Ltd and British Future also participate in the project, which is co-funded by the European Union to rethink the relationship between the EU and the UK after Brexit, supporting communities of European citizens living in the United Kingdom.

The event will offer a great chance to connect, share ideas, and build relationships. Thematic discussions will generate collaborative recommendations, followed by a networking reception.

"EU and UK civil societies organisations (CSOs), and citizens interested in making collaborative connections have been invited to take part to the initative, to highlight the positive contributions that European CSOs make to UK society and viceversa, by fostering networking, promotion of bottom-up recommendations and access to fundings" explains Sara Giorgio, project management of Common Ground for Fondazione Brodolini.

The Common Ground project has revealed UK citizens' desire for closer ties with the EU, while emphasising the importance of fostering connections between UK and EU citizens, celebrating individual experiences, and promoting positive contributions to society, to strengthen relations between both communities.
