Gendered innovation, the GILL Hub in the EU Commission's Repository
The GILL Hub collaborative platform, developed as part of the Gendered Innovation Living Labs (GILL) project, has been included in the European Commission's Repository of best practices for its contribution to integrating a gender perspective into research, innovation and entrepreneurship.
As a project partner, Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini contributed to the development of the Hub's methodology and to experimentation activities, delivering targeted training and tailored consultancy to innovative startups in the AI, IT and green economy sectors.
Designed for entrepreneurs, product and service designers, as well as anyone interested in integrating a gender perspective into their professional activity, the GILL Hub is a collaborative platform and community offering tools, methods, services and materials to support gender-responsive innovation and entrepreneurship.
The GILL project, which ran for three years and concluded at the end of 2025, was funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe Research and Innovation programme with the aim to develop a gender methodology for innovation and entrepreneurship in the areas of health and resilience, and the green and digital transitions.
"The Repository collects strategies and tools to transform research outcomes into societal and economic benefits across Europe. In this context, the inclusion of the GILL Hub acknowledges its role in providing open and structured resources that support inclusive and gender‑responsive innovation" explains Barbara De Micheli, Coordinator of FGB's Social Justice Area, who led the GILL Project on behalf of Fondazione Brodolini.
