EU Voices, supporting European citizens living in the UK after Brexit
Over the next three years, Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini will lead EU Voices, a new project dedicated to supporting European citizens in the United Kingdom and organisations working to protect their rights.
Funded by the European Union through the European Commission's Foreign Policy Instruments (FPI), the project aims to protect citizens' rights, support civil society, and strengthen people-to-people connections between the EU and the UK.
The3million Ltd, the largest grassroots organisation of EU citizens in the UK, is also a partner in the project. FGB has previously collaborated with The3million under the Common Ground project, launched in 2023 to build a new relationship between the European Union and the United Kingdom after Brexit.
The kick-off meeting with the Delegation of the European Union to the United Kingdom, held on 24 February 2026, marked the first opportunity for discussion and alignment on the project's activities. These include a grant programme for grassroots organisations across the UK, capacity-building and community engagement initiatives, as well as advocacy actions aimed at strengthening civic participation and amplifying the perspectives of European citizens at local, national, and European levels.
"Building on its extensive experience in managing EU-funded projects and its strong commitment to social inclusion and citizens’ rights, Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini will lead the overall implementation of the project, ensuring its technical and financial robustness" commented Sara Giorgio, Project Manager of EU Voices on behalf of FGB.
"In particular, Fondazione Brodolini will support civil society organisations throughout the sub-granting process, contribute to institutional communication, and ensure continuous technical and financial monitoring, guaranteeing both accountability and long-term impact" she added.
