Green skills for a green future, online webinar
The European Commission has announced 2023 the Year of Skills, with the aim to empower people to successfully navigate labour market changes and to fully engage in society and democracy. A workforce with the skills that are in demand also contributes to sustainable growth, leads to more innovation and improves companies' competitiveness.
On 23 March (11 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Zoom) Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini's Scientific Committee organises an in-depth webinar on green skills. The European Green Deal and the Next Generation EU have paved the way for a big transformation of culture, markets and governance infrastructure to build a sustainable future and a society committed to environmental and social justice.
The webinar will answer some of the main questions dealing with these changes. How will we promote and sustain green jobs? Which workers' training and upskilling pathways do we need to prepare?
Chair: Alberto Vergani, Professor at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, member of FGB's Scientific Committee.
Speakers: Giuseppe Pellegrino, Policy Assistant at the European Commission's Directorate-General for Research and Innovation; Terence Hogarth, Professor at the University of Warwick, member of FGB's Scientific Committee; Maria Cristina Scarafile and Maria Saide Liperi, researchers at Fondazione Brodolini.
The webinar will be in Italian with English translation.
